A known artist that goes by the name of D4vd is now a leading suspect in the murder of a 15-year old girl, but there is seemingly no reason behind the case. D4vd is a 20 year old singer-songwriter who was born in Queens, New York. His music could be described as bedroom pop, R&B and alt rock. His initial rise to fame started in around 2022 when he released 3 singles to SoundCloud.
The beginning of this case started on September 8th, 2025, when a “foul stench” or odor was reportedly coming from a Tesla in Los Angeles. The Tesla which was under the singer’s real name, David Burke, was said to have been impounded to the location for several weeks before the discovery of her body. Information pertaining to her body was said that she could have been dead for weeks before it was reported. The girl, whose name was Celeste Rivas Hernandez was only 15 at the time of her death. Her dismembered remains that were found in the car weighed around 71 pounds. The remains were in a state of decomposition when they were found at the front trunk portion of the Tesla. It is claimed that the dismemberment of her body must have been more than a one-man job. Along with the poor disposing of the body. The police are actively contacting multiple people who could be suspects, but none of that information has been released to the public. Celeste was last seen on April 5th, 2024, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. But, because of the medical examiner’s un-determination of how she actually died, they can not actually press the singer on any charges.
Now, the media have a very different view of this ‘accusation’ on D4vd. Many believe that he actually has committed this homicide. People, especially including a plethora of former fans, have been analyzing his discography and seeing if anything has led up to this case. But none of that information is concrete evidence that we could build on. This case has not yet been solved. Sources have said that the singer has not been at all cooperative with the investigation. They have reached out to his lawyers, but have received no response. The authorities are not able to charge them with the information we have because if they do not win against him, he cannot be tried again.
