As the Viking’s basketball season comes to an end, we will like to acknowledge an unforgettable achievement which was accomplished by 10th grader Joshua Mosley. Joshua is the Vikings’ starting point guard and has recently dropped a career high of 32 point in the Monday night matchup against Northview High School. Joshua had to bring electrifying energy to the game due to the game being a reschedule game because of severe weather.
As many are happy for him, his teammates show love and appreciation for the young guard. For example, 12th grader Tommy Vento stated, “Josh’s game was all around exciting”. After the game the team wasted no time to celebrate together. After chasing Joshua to the locker room, they began celebrating by pouring water on Joshua as an expression of enjoyment. Teams help each other so they can all work together. Quickly adjusted by, “Feeding the hot hand and passing the ball to Joshua” is how Tommy said he played in the Northview game to get every point deserved. Tommy described his game as “Inspirational”.
As more teammates are excited for Josh’s success, 12th grader Kodi McGlathery sees Josh as a little brother describing his performance “A pleasure knowing it’s going to be his year next year. It shows a lot of progression”. In order to encourage him, Kodi always told Josh to “Don’t stop and keep going.” Kodi also described Josh’s game as “Sensational”.
Although Josh himself is very proud of himself for his achievement. In order to succeed in what you do you have to have strategies and make time management for yourself so you can have a better performance each time you play. “Taking naps and eating” is what Josh does to make sure his performance stays consistent no matter what.
With Joshua only being a sophomore, we are hoping to see a lot of more success coming from him and his teammates. Joshua’s role and energy frequently contributes the Vikings and how they perform on the court. Though, the season came to an end earlier than expected many are excited to see what is in the future for our Lakeside Vikings.
